Whoa! Look at that turquoise in Bermuda!!!!
ReplyDeleteCape Cod is quite famous even in this part of the world, but I had never heart of "Pisco Clam". I like the vintage postcards.
ReplyDeletePismo clams were abundant in the past, and are making some inroads to recovery. I will assume the promotion on postcards lead them to be over-harvested. I lived further north, and the road-side shacks with clam broth used a different kind.
DeleteI'm very familiar with beaches. Nice postcards.
ReplyDeleteYour beaches are quite different from mine!
Delete...a lovely trip around the world.
ReplyDeleteThe Bermudian water looks very inviting. I imagine the Grand Hotel would have been a very elegant place to stay at that time.
ReplyDeleteI've been to Pismo beach but not the others.
ReplyDeleteLike Mary, of the locations, I've only been to Pismo Beach (multiple times). I wonder how old that postcard is? It's a lot more built up now.
ReplyDeleteProbably early 1960s. There wasn't much there when the photo was taken, it looks rather uninviting!
