  2. Cape Cod is quite famous even in this part of the world, but I had never heart of "Pisco Clam". I like the vintage postcards.

    1. Pismo clams were abundant in the past, and are making some inroads to recovery. I will assume the promotion on postcards lead them to be over-harvested. I lived further north, and the road-side shacks with clam broth used a different kind.

  5. The Bermudian water looks very inviting. I imagine the Grand Hotel would have been a very elegant place to stay at that time.

  7. Like Mary, of the locations, I've only been to Pismo Beach (multiple times). I wonder how old that postcard is? It's a lot more built up now.

    1. Probably early 1960s. There wasn't much there when the photo was taken, it looks rather uninviting!
