There's a short story behind my attaining this card. My son often goes thrifting with me.  He knows I love dogs.  He knows I collect postcards.  He knows I read and write and have a poetry blog.  Yet, it wasn't until we were backing out of our parking place at St. Vincent de Paul he tells me there was a book of dog poetry with a postcard included for $1.00.  Sigh...  Dogs, postcard, poetry, a trifecta.  Naturally, I pulled back in the space and went to get it.  

 Next week is August's last, bringing us Food or Plants.

By the way, if you are on WordPress I may not be able to comment.  I do read other's posts, however since I wasn't using WordPress anymore (had been a co-host on a blog, and posted on another's blog) I deleted it.  That means sometimes if I am required to sign in to comment on a blog I can't.  WordPress says that email is already in use, but the account is deleted and the email can't be used again.  Some WordPress blogs allow me to sign in with Google, but not all.  Some allow me to be anonymous, but not all.  I guess it's your comment settings and not me. Anonymous I can try to remember to add who I am!
