Sunday Stamps - February 1, 2026

The A to Z theme was so fun the host of Sunday Stamps decided to do it again!  So this week is A stamps.  I've decided to make it harder on myself by using animals.  We'll see how that goes!

Aardvark
Kenya 1966-1969

American Bison
Hungary c. 1961
Budapest Zoo Animals series
FYI, bison are not buffalo!

Next week will be B stamps.

  4. Rabbits are a traditional way to greet the first of the month, and too bad you couldn't fit a rabbit into an A post.

    1. I might have been able to find an Arctic hare, but that's not a rabbit! There might be rabbit breeds, so Angora would have worked. I think I heard about the rabbit thing from you blogging about it. I'd no heard of it before that. No one I've known has done it. I just checked, there are stamps with rabbit breeds! One is angora. It's in the UK. A single stamp that costs less than $1 might have a tariff added of $20 though! I wanted a stamp from Ukraine not long ago, but not that badly. I feel bad for sellers that need the sales for their livelihood. It's the regular people, here and there that are the ones hurting.
