Skywatch Friday - January 2, 2026
A few random skies (and reflected skies) from the last few days of 2025.
Early morning looking west. The light is from one of the mills.
I thought the contrail looked a bit like lightening in this morning sky.
Same day, an hour later.
Here the blue sky is reflected in puddled rain water Christmas morning.
Christmas night the puddles reflected the moon.
The rain stopped for only a few days. This is looking west from the park. Nice tree shadow for Shadow Shot Sunday, too bad I'm using it now!
Have a nice weekend.
...the first one is a winner!
ReplyDeleteI like that view. I've taken other photos at near dark with the lights and steam coming up. Some mornings the steam looks pink.
DeleteNice photos, and you’re right about the contrail
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies, and I love your lightning contrail!
ReplyDeleteThose are great sky pictures.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteI love all your skies!!
ReplyDeleteBeen a little wet for you? Nice images.
ReplyDeleteYou would think this was the wet part of Oregon, but it's not. My far back yard always puddles up though, the clay doesn't drain.
DeleteThanks for sharing the skies, the reflections, and the shadows--fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat clouds in the 3rd picture!
ReplyDeleteNice sky shots. We've had a hot and dry summer in the Tampa Bay area. Finally got some much needed rain yesterday. Happy New Year!
