Just to clear things up (which we could do with around here, clearing up I mean), a cloudy or foggy photo is still a picture of the sky! I looked it up.
It's been foggy. Most days it clears by afternoon (see Wednesday's post, photos taken around 3:00 pm), just in time to come back in the night. Yesterday it was back by 5:00 pm. The forecast has been promising warmer weather for a week, but so far we haven't gotten any warmer. It was 26° early Thursday morning! Unless you have to drive in it, the fog is rather pretty. I did have to drive in it to go to the airport (it's only 4 miles away from my house, but I had to go to the other end of town to pick up the traveler first) in the wee hours of Wednesday morning. Wee meaning leave the house at 3:10 am. Nasty time to drive in fog. Fortunately the plane was able to take off before 6:00 am.
On the 10th, in the neighborhood at around 8:45 am.
Thursday morning from my backyard, around 7:30 am.
You're right, very nice as long as you don't have to drive in it! Beautiful photos, especially the first one.
ReplyDeleteFog is so mysterious, isn’t it?
ReplyDeleteWe are kind of prejudiced against fog and overcast, but yeah, agreed, that is still sky.
ReplyDeleteI love those kinds of days--not for driving , but for viewing the beauty! Great photos!
ReplyDeleteLove your foggy images.

Looks on the spooky side.
ReplyDeleteThe first shot is very pretty...the foggy sky makes it even more dreamier!! Visiting from SkywatchFriday
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, fog is still the sky, just a little closer than usual. I love your photos. I grew up in the American west where we hardly ever had fog so despite my advanced years I am still enchanted by the fog.
ReplyDeletethere has been a lot of fog lately.
