Inverted Color Photos
I mentioned Monday that I was fooling around with inverting color with some of my photos. Inverting color is just flipping the colors to the other side of the color wheel from where they were. I started with mono on a few. Some turned out so stunning I kept at it far too long! It's fun!
Here are too many of the ones I liked best. Sorry...
Pinks and purples end up as green, and yellows blue.

Black and white are inverted to sort of like negatives. So are the ones with mostly sky.
Guinevere looks less like a queen in snow, and more like a woman dressed in a fur hat and stole!
Some photos take on a spooky look!
Ice looks nice.
I even used some artwork. On much of it though it just looks like a painting with different color paints, and if you didn't see the original you wouldn't know. This one, a de Condamy print, The Death, turned out the best. I don't care for the fox hunt scene, but do love the antique color lithography.
One thing inverting the color did for this print was to make Dali's signature all the more obvious on this Eye of God print. It's in pencil, so doesn't really stand out, yet here it does.

...it's stick with the real deal.
ReplyDeleteso cool!
ReplyDeleteI like the real life photos inversions a lot better than the art ones. Some of those inverted photos, in my non-artistic opinion, would make great fabric designs.
ReplyDeleteI think that looks really interesting.
