Thursday Postcard Hunt's last theme for the Colors of October is Hallowe'en or Black.

Black Lake is the largest and deepest lake in the Czech Republic, and is of glacial origin.

    The black lake is a great find for today. And I love those vintage Halloween postcards, although I never celebrated Halloween as a child.

    I'm not a Halloween fan (if you don't grow up celebrating it, it is just weird :-)), but I love those black cats.

    I grew up with Hallowe'en and I still find it weird. "Joyous Hallowe'en" is an especially odd greeting. I do love the black cats staring at the jack o'lantern! The Schwarzer See looks like it might harbour a few mysteries.

    Amazingly dense forest around the Black Lake. Black cats, suitably weird and wonderful for the season.
