🍂 Happy Autumnal Equinox! 🍂

(at 11:19am my time)

Some random flowers in the yard.

The black-eyed Susans that self-seed come back in various forms.  These are very short, having been weedeated down about a month ago.

Only one New Dawn climbing rose.

This is probably Pink Supreme gladiola from the Dollar Tree a few years back.

Saturday was the nearby city-wide yard sale.  I didn't make an outing of it this time, just stopping in at a few on my way other places.  I got my 'flu and COVID shots at the pharmacy in Albertson's, so followed a few signs on the way there.  I didn't get much, a couple of items that will be shared as Christmas thrifts later on.   There is already COVID in the neighborhood, so I wanted to be sure to get the current booster.  I had COVID in 2023 and I'd never been so sick, even with all the available vaccines at the time.  School's in session and an employee at the one down the street told me staff has already been out with COVID, and kids are missing days with other illnesses.

Friday Mickey had a vet appointment for nail cutting (he needs sedation) and to deal with his itchies and red skin.  I thought we were going to have to cancel as he refused to let me put his harness on to get in the car.  He knew something was up.  How?  Well, I was giving up, I took off my shoes and had a wild idea to see what would happen if I put on my "dog walking shoes" instead.  Yeah, he knew I was wearing the wrong shoes...  By then my help in getting him in the car had left for work, so I walked him.  Never again.  It was too far, more than two miles.  Flat and some sidewalks, but also some very busy roads (this was a bit before 8am, so lots of work and school traffic) with gravel sides, and a few times we had to walk with traffic due to aggressive dogs in yards on the other side.  Very stressful.  Mickey did amazingly well considering he'd never been on these roads, and cars were whizzing by.  So, he's home (return trip was by car), and taking antibiotics, and not itchy due to an allergy shot that will last 6-8 weeks.
