USA 1960
The celebratory 50th anniversary program was "She Cares... Do You?"
I was a Camp Fire Girl, started as a Blue Bird, went to a Camp Fire summer camp (not the one for my city area, I went to one that had horses, Camp Augusta), and continued through 7th grade.

We've had A, B, and C. Next week continues the pattern with D.
...stamps continual to get more expensive.
ReplyDeleteSince they say "Forever" on them I never really know how much they cost! I only use a few at Christmas. The International Forever are $1.70, those are for Postcrossing.
DeleteYou have Forever International stamps?! I am so jealous. Ours have recently increased to $3.65
DeleteOh! I thought $1.70 was a lot! It doesn't matter that I send postcards, it needs the $1.70. The last ones I bought were poinsettias and sunflowers.
DeleteFrom Spain to the USA is $2,80 (2,40€). So... don't complaint! :)
DeleteAnd, more coins! (I wasn't so original after all). I'd forgotten all about the term 'camp fire girls'. were they eventually 'girl scouts'?
ReplyDeleteNo, there were Girl Scouts too. In fact, one girl was in both and her mother was the leader for both. We sold the candy mints, not cookies! I didn't even notice the coin, so you are original as far as I go!
DeleteThe first stamp is especially fine.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought.
DeleteIf we had camp fire girls I'd have chosen the one with horses too, pure bliss for any small girl.
ReplyDeleteYes, the horses made the difference! I don't know how we found out there was one with horses, but a friend and I went for several years.
DeleteGreat collection of Cs.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to find something for each letter! Like an A to Z.
DeleteI love the first stamp. Especially the color palette.
ReplyDeleteMe too, I love the colours on it. It seems older than 1972, though.
DeleteI hadn't thought of Christmas!
It does look older. I went back and verified it, it's 1972. They reuse the image now and again. Apparently they like it as much as we do!
