 N ovember's Sunday Stamps continues  the letter theme with N .  N avajo Art - American Folk Art Series  USA 1986 N uclear Reactor and N uclear Power Plant Taiwan 1978 The stamp commemorated the completion of the first unit of the N orthern N uclear Power Plant No. 1, now  shut down .  N ativity Ireland 1976 Christmas Based on the painting by Lorenzo Monaco, The N ativity, but actually quite different.  The original is shown below the stamp image.  There the animals are gazing adoringly at the baby rather than eating from the manger, as on the stamp.  I wonder why the baby is on the ground rather than in the manger, as is tradition?  Or, is he floating?  If that's Joseph on the right he looks like he dislocated his neck (in the painting). image public domain If we continue as expected, which we will, next week will feature O stamps.
